The Shimano Ocea Jigger overhead reels have received an extreme make-over from their predecessor. This ‘flagship of jigging reels’ series comes with a number of exciting features like infinity driver and micro module gear, which results in a 60 per cent reduction in the reeling resistance compared to the old model, not to mention a very smooth retrieve.

The Newly designed handle provides a firm grip and the ability to increase power without losing hold. The combination of the Hagane body and S-Compact body results in an immensely strong yet lightweight jigging reel. Thanks to the eight SA-RB ball bearings and X-Protect, it is also highly saltwater resistant and durable. With a drag range of 7-10kg depending on the model, the new Ocea jigger can handle the biggest fish without a problem.

• Shielded Anti-rust Bearings: Shimano S A-RB bearings are high corrosion resistant ARB ball bearings with an extra shield for improved protection against sand, salt or dust.
• EI Surface Treatment: E.I. Surface treatment doubles the durability of the spool surface and gives less wear out by eliminating oxidation.
• Hagane Body: The Hagane Body is produced from high rigidity aluminium or magnesium. This creates stiffness and impact resistance, while at the same time eliminating flexing of the body. The result is a rock solid housing and support for the moving internal gearing and greater efficiency throughout the reel.
• S-Compact Body: Compact body design to reduce weight and allow for better grip and leverage while fighting a fish.
